Bombón EP No.1 (2021 Remaster)

In 2014, Bombón proudly debuted their first EP, Bombón No.1. Featured on this first release is the Bombón crew and fam--Navó, Gracie Chavez & Squincy Jones (DIRB!), OGT, Manny de la Rosa (Trill Made), and Panchitron.

Established in 2010, Bombón DJs (Gracie, Navó, OG Bobby Trill and Panchitron) gained a national audience by performing at events like Que Bajo’s LAMC after-party in NYC, the Do-Over All-Star Weekend and Vice Magazine’s showcase in Houston, Virgin Mobile (SXSW) and Peligrosa in Austin, and Red Bull Thre3style Battle in Dallas. In Texas, Bombón is also known for their Puro Pinche Pardis!

This five-track EP showcases the crew’s range of Latin-inspired guapachoso music--from bachatas, sonideros, cumbia, villeras, tribal and a signature cumbiaton style.

The sultry “Sufriendo” remix winds up then fires off into a frenzy of colorful bachata melodies. “Las Brujas” DIRB! re-do sounds like a Southern-fried rumba madura with a pinch of twerk. The villera flip of Lorde’s “Royals” features OGT’s vocals on a talkbox for some extra electro-funk splendor. Trill Made’s “Cumbia India” has become one of the anthems for Bombón, who’s adopted cumbiaton as one of its distinctive sounds. And finally, “El Coco No” 3ball remix from Panchitron is puro raucous, crazy fun vibes!
